Indiana University School of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for our clinical-track assistant professor 1.0 FTE faculty position with a start date of July 1 2026 or sooner. We are seeking a new faculty member with proficiency in all aspects of digital innovation and laboratory technologies to teach students and residents in the Doctor of Dental Surgery ( DDS ) and Master of Science in Dentistry ( MSD ) programs about contemporary technologies in dentistry and to prepare graduates for future evolving dental careers. Our new faculty member will: possess interpersonal communication skills and commitment that promotes collegiality collaboration and cultural inclusion. be recognized as a technical expert in digital technologies. educate mentor and instruct faculty students staff and residents in assigned courses. collaborate with faculty and students of Indiana University Fort Waynes Dental Technology program. This persons primary academic role includes: supporting course directors by implementing and demonstrating dental technologies in both didactic and preclinical settings. assisting both predoctoral and graduate program directors in developing and updating courses. teaching managing and promoting the use of technology in didactic and preclinical laboratory courses. developing a comprehensive predoctoral curriculum that encompasses advanced and emerging technologies. The successful candidates administrative role as director of our digital innovation laboratory includes: overseeing the digital technology operations within the dental schools clinical settings. co-establishing and maintaining standards in scanning digital design and the production of dental prostheses. managing the daily operations maintenance of digital equipment and software inventory oversight drafting of purchase orders stock control and vendor communications.
