Job Description
Standard working hours: 9:00 to 18:00
Office location: Walking distance from Gayrettepe metro station Istanbul
Hybrid working:
This role includes frequent factory visits. We have UK buyers visiting every two weeks and you would regularly accompany them to factory visits. As a result there is a natural balance between being in the office and being out for supplier meetings.
What youll be doing:
- Supporting the drive to position ASOS globally as a leading Fashion brand through garment development trend adaptation & sustainability initiatives.
- Managing the critical path from end to end.
- Working closely with factories garment manufacturers and suppliers to negotiate the best prices delivery lead times and quality standards.
- Coordinating with buying and design teams to organize buying trips in collaboration with suppliers.
- Ensuring product quality and working with the technical team by reviewing fits workmanship and fabric performance taking proactive measures to solve production issues for ontime shipment.
- Supporting and offering ideas for new production processes & best practices aligned with ASOSs Commercial Strategy and Sustainability goals.
- Researching & presenting regular trend updates sourcing new manufacturing techniques trims and embellishments as appropriate ahead of the season.
- Collaborating with the Sustainability and Ethical Teams to work towards the targets and maintain full transparency of production origins.
Qualifications :
About you:
- Experience in garment manufacturing sourcing or production preferably in a multi-product supplier or at a retailer (buying merchandising or product development).
- Strong ability to present ideas trends or reports effectively to stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and negotiation skills with experience managing multiple suppliers.
- Good knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of PLM systems and production tracking would be a plus.
