Assistant Controller
Full-Time

Manufacturing client based in Louisville KY is hiring an Assistant Controller for the operation. Reporting to the Controller of this $120M design build and integration company this role will assist in overseeing the accounting operations of the organization. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting functions assisting with preparing financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP and supporting internal and external audits.
Assistant Controller Specific Responsibilities:
- Performs daily accounting operations including general ledger accounts receivable sales and use tax cash flow forecasting and fixed assets.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP tax regulations and company policies.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Collaborate with and mentor accounting staff; review work to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Assist with cash flow management project tracking sales and use tax reconciliation and internal controls.
- Serves as backup to the Controller.
Assistant Controller Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience including sales and use tax.
- Strong understanding of GAAP financial reporting and accounting systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Excel and be analytical with excellent communication skills.
- Experience working for a manufacturing based company.
