ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
WFPs Private Partnerships Division (PSP) works with WFP units offices and friend organizations around the world to engage in high-impact partnerships and fundraising activities with companies foundations non-governmental organizations and individuals. Together they aim to harness the transformational power of the private sector by mobilizing funding technical assistance innovative solutions and awareness to help WFP fulfil its mission.
The PSP Global Services team works with other divisions within the organization to ensure that partnership managers get the technical and strategic support they need in the areas of communications contracting due diligence and information management to build and grow strategic partnerships and campaigns while aligning with WFPs rules and core values.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The position is part of the PSP Global Services team and is responsible for ensuring PSPs secretariat role in WFPs due diligence (DD) process required prior to receiving a contribution and/or engaging into a partnership or campaign with a company foundation or major individual donor. The Due Diligence Coordinator oversees the entire DD process until completion and ensures effective coordination between all key stakeholders including WFP partnership officers requesting DD clearances for prospective partners and donors in PSP and on behalf of WFP Offices Country Offices (COs) Technical Units and Friends Organizations WFPs Legal Office (LEG) that conducts DD screening and produces DD reports and WFP/PSP leadership that reviews DD related rules and medium/high-risk DD requests.
The position reports to the Head of Global Services and is based in Rome Italy.
