Duties:
- Monitor program performance including enrollment attendance and retention.
- Ensure programs meeting educational objective and regulatory requirements (e.g. applicable statutes laws regulars policies and procedures).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; chair the Nebraska Consortium for Post-Secondary Education in Prison.
- Collect analyze and report on program data; utilize a data driven decision making process.
- Prepare reports professional correspondence and presentations related to areas of oversight.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in criminal justice behavioral science human services or related field plus two years corrections experience; OR Associates degree in criminal justice behavioral science human services or related field plus four years experience; OR six years corrections experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience coordinating managing or evaluating an adult education or post-secondary program. Experience teaching or otherwise working with a diverse student population of adult learners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and educational management systems (e.g. LMS platforms student information systems).
Other: Must submit to background security check. Valid drivers license. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the pre-employment medical examination and a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Pre-service Training Program.
