Job Description:

A mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on supporting agricultural programs and industry stakeholders is seeking a Senior Director of Growth to join its executive leadership team. This dynamic role reports directly to the CEO and provides high-level strategic direction and leadership across marketing communications program development membership engagement and public relations.

About the Role:

The Senior Director of Growth is a key organizational leader responsible for driving strategic outreach brand cohesion and member engagement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to shape a unified vision across teams streamline communications and contribute meaningfully to the organizations impact and visibility.

This is a full-time permanent position with a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite work in the Philadelphia PA office. The ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of communications marketing and member engagement efforts.
  • Strengthen relationships with government agencies member organizations and other stakeholders.
  • Align outreach and marketing operations under a unified strategy to support organizational growth.
  • Oversee a team; provide coaching feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and brand ambassador guiding external messaging and public representation.
  • Identify and develop compelling storytelling strategies to highlight organizational impact.
  • Drive engagement strategies to support the member experience and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Plan and oversee execution of in-person and virtual events.
  • Break down internal silos to foster cross-functional collaboration and enhance team cohesion.
  • Act as a liaison for high-level requests and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Participate in executive leadership meetings and take on special projects as needed.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree is required masters degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales and/or marketing within a non-profit and/or member-based organization.
  • At least 5 years of management-level experience including people management responsibilities.
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of marketing and promotion trade association international marketing international trade agricultural products food marketing techniques and/or non-profit management are desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to listen well and communicate with all levels of management and employees.
  • Strong employee management skills (e.g. relationship building listening and coaching.)
  • Excellent customer/client service skills; strong interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
