Job Description
STU AST - NON-CLERICAL & ADMIN
The UF Computing Help Desk would like to welcome you to apply for an entry-level Help Desk Student Assistant position with a $15 per hour starting rate of pay. We are located centrally on UF campus at the HUB 1765 Stadium Road and provide assistance via phone email live chat and walk-in consulting.
Our student assistants are responsible for delivering excellent client service for the UF community of faculty staff and students. Ideal candidates have good communication skills are eager to learn and are customer-service oriented.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Assisting clients with Gatorlink account issues such as account creation password resets and multi-factor authentication.
- Assisting with email wireless and VPN support.
- Helping triage issues to better assist faculty staff students and alumni.

MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE
UF Student Assistant
This position is open to all students eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
OPS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
The ideal candidate will possess the following education experience and skills:
- Prior customer service experience
- Eagerness and ability to learn
- Comfortable with technology
- Ability to commit to working for more than two consecutive semesters
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
A Criminal Background Screening is required.
