Job Description

  • Completion of a technical school program or equivalent combination of education training and hands-on experience in mechanical or piping quality control.

  • In-depth understanding of applicable industry standards specifications and regulatory codes governing mechanical systems within the energy chemicals and resources industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting inspections interpreting technical drawings and specifications and supporting compliance in complex project environments.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to apply sound judgment and identify opportunities for improving quality processes.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and quality management systems used for documentation inspection tracking and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders across disciplines.
  • A proactive commitment to safety regulatory compliance and sustainable practices in line with Worleys values and global ambitions.
  • Experience or interest in supporting projects that integrate both conventional and renewable energy solutions contributing to a sustainable future.

Purpose of the Role
The Piping Quality Control Inspector ensures mechanical systems materials and workmanship align with project specifications industry codes and regulatory requirements. This role is vital to Worleys commitment to delivering sustainable change by supporting the safe efficient and responsible execution of projects in the energy chemicals and resources sectors. Through detailed inspections and quality assurance practices the inspector contributes directly to project integrity regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction. This role reinforces Worleys ambition to be a globally recognized leader in sustainability solutions by upholding the highest quality standards across traditional and emerging energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of piping systems verifying that materials and workmanship meet applicable specifications codes and project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering procurement and construction teams to align project execution with quality expectations and best practices.
  • Identify document and report non-conformities working with project teams to ensure appropriate corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
  • Support and participate in internal and external quality audits contributing to the overall culture of continuous improvement.
  • Offer technical expertise and support on quality assurance processes and interpretation of standards fostering a collaborative and solutions-driven work environment.
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation of inspection results tests and compliance records in accordance with quality and project management systems.
  • Promote responsible quality practices that enhance project efficiency reduce material waste and contribute to Worleys broader sustainability goals.
  • Assist in developing and refining procedures that support quality control efforts and improve project outcomes over the asset lifecycle.

  • Salary Range $87000 - $126880
