Key responsibilities will include:
Teaching: Coordinate and deliver high-quality clinical education for UQ medical students at BRCU and HBRCU ensuring alignment with MD Program outcomes especially in simulated and rural clinical learning environments.
Engage in collaborative teaching mentoring clinician recruitment professional development and contribute to broader educational initiatives and scholarly activities.
Research: Maintain academic standing through active research and scholarship applying best practices and fostering a culture of research within the Learning Community and Rural Clinical School.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Foster others in the responsible conduct of research. Effectively lead and develop student performance and conduct by providing feedback coaching and professional development.
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships demonstrate leadership through mentoring engage in internal service roles and committees perform administrative functions provide support to colleagues and uphold university values.

Masters PhD or equivalent in the disciplinary area or an appropriate combination of professional and academic service relevant to the field.
An established profile in clinical teaching including in the area of clinical skills and simulation.
A record of contribution to the supervision of medical students
Experience in undertaking or facilitating research or scholarship of teaching and learning.
Ability to establish effective relationships and to represent and promote the UQ Rural Clinical Schools within hospitals and health care facilities at a university level and in the wider community including professional bodies.
High level communication and interpersonal skills for working with students colleagues and the wider community.
Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to operate effectively in a complex working environment.
A commitment to and an understanding of the issues surrounding living and working in a rural and/or regional area.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks including right to work in Australia education check background check.
