Java Backend Developer & NoSQL Engineer
Location: Omaha NE
Duration: 12-month contract
Experience Level:
Senior Level Minimum 10 Years in Java Backend and NoSQL Development
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Java Backend Developer and NoSQL Engineer with strong expertise in backend technologies and distributed data platforms. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions possess deep technical knowledge and have the ability to mentor junior developers. This is an onsite role in Omaha NE and requires excellent analytical communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems
- Work with NoSQL databases and distributed search platforms
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
- Mentor and guide junior developers to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
- Ensure delivery of zero-defect production deployments
- Monitor system performance using tools like Grafana and Spark
- Handle messaging workflows and data pipelines using Kafka or similar
Desired Candidate Profile
- Deep understanding of core Java fundamentals
- Extensive hands-on experience with NoSQL platforms (Cassandra Solr OpenSearch Redis Coherence)
- Proficient in Linux systems (Basic required; Advanced preferred)
- Familiarity with container orchestration and Kubernetes environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience in code quality reviews and mentoring
- Culture of first-time-right delivery and production reliability
