Job Description
Frasers Group are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for Digital Data Squad to join our growing IT function and work as part of an enthusiastic motivated and delivery focused agile team. Frasers Group are a global powerhouse within retail made up of household names such as Sports Direct and USC. IT at Frasers Group is delivered by the in-house team who are passionate about what they do and are not dependent on outsourced organisations to deliver the core systems. This role is hybrid with 3 days and the office and 2 days at home
Key Responsibilities
- Working on all aspects of our state of the art inhouse developed ecommerce platform. Our platform runs over 50 websites - including some of the biggest names in Retail
- Providing innovative fast and reliable websites by building robust interconnected data applications and services that serves large quantities of data
- Developing on the backend mostly with data related systems with a range of exciting technologies
- Managing the full software development lifecycle ensuring appreciation of quality assurance continuous integration/delivery and the benefits of automation
- Designing developing and testing fast scalable and architecturally robust solutions
- Staying up to date with the latest technology and industry trends continuously looking for ways to apply them for our benefit
Qualifications :
We are looking for proven experience with -
- .Net Core (C#)
- Relational (Sql Server/Oracle) and NoSQL databases
- Microservices & distributed systems architecture
- Cloud Experience
- 5 years experience in a similar role
Desirable
- Azure
- Terraform
- MongoDB
- REST Api design
- GraphQL
- gRPC
- Search Engines: ElasticSearch/Algolia/Typesense or similar
- Distributed Caching e.g Redis
