Summary/Objective
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Molecular Genetics Technologist to join our dynamic team in Denver Colorado. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of molecular genetic techniques and assays to support our clinical and research efforts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory contributing to cutting-edge advancements in molecular genetics.
Essential Functions
Perform DNA and RNA extraction from various biological samples.
Conduct PCR qPCR and other molecular genetic assays for diagnostic and research purposes.
Analyze and interpret molecular data ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of procedures results and findings.
Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and regulatory compliance.
Assist in the development and validation of new molecular assays and techniques.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to molecular genetic assays and instrumentation.
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in molecular genetics and related technologies.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday day shift. Expected hours: 40 per week.
Travel
This position requires minimal travel.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in Molecular Biology Genetics Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
Proficiency with PCR qPCR and nucleic acid extraction.
Certification as a Molecular Genetic Technologist or similar credential.
Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
Prior experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory.
