Job Title: Business Development Representative GDCA Defense & GovTech
Compensation: $60000 $100000 base commission
Location: Remote (with 30% travel to trade shows and customer sites)
Reports To: Sales Director

Critical defense aerospace and industrial systems often rely on electronics that are no longer manufactured or supported. At GDCA we partner with OEMs to provide customers the circuit cards they need to keep those systems running without costly redesigns or schedule delays. As a Business Development Representative you will be on the front lines identifying new programs initiating solution conversations and helping customers secure the long-term support they need.

What You ll Do
Sales & Opportunity Development
- Identify and qualify new programs and customers across defense and industry with a focus on Navy Air Force and major government primes.
- Research program structures uncover obsolescence or lifecycle risks and connect those needs to GDCA s solution process.
- Manage and expand existing accounts by identifying new business units or sustainment challenges.
Prospecting & Outreach
- Conduct research follow up on leads and develop outbound campaigns to uncover new opportunities in a highly targeted and tactical manner (this is not high volume cold calling).
- Travel (30%) to trade shows and customer sites to build relationships and deepen understanding of customer needs.
Quoting & Deal Strategy
- Own the quote-to-close process including price development exception handling and follow-up.
- Support contract alignment including negotiation of delivery terms technical clarifications and order details.
Customer Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Ensure customers are informed engaged and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate internally with Solutions Architects Engineering and Operations to deliver successful outcomes.
CRM & Sales Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM.
- Submit weekly/monthly updates on activity forecasts and progress.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently generates 8 new qualified leads/month
- Converts new opportunities into funded Sustainment Option Reports
- Grows assigned accounts and expands into new program areas
- Continually grow your knowledge of GDCA operations and customers
- Maintains CRM accuracy and submits timely customer call reports
- Meets or exceeds annual targets
Growth & Culture
This is a strategic role with clear advancement potential. High performers in this position often grow into Business Development Managers or Solutions Architect roles within 12 24 months. What You Bring
Required
- 2 years in technical B2B or B2G sales with experience managing long-cycle or high-value deals
- Strong research and consultative selling skills
- Ability to engage with engineers program managers and contracting officers
- Familiarity with defense aerospace or electronics industries
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing multiple accounts
- Proficient with MS Office CRM systems (Zoho preferred) and sales reporting tools
Preferred
- Bachelor s degree in technical or business field
- Experience with circuit card assemblies or sustainment-related programs
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition cycles or indirect sales through primes
