Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Data Strategist to join our clients dynamic team in Belgium. As a key leader in the data function you will be responsible for designing and executing data strategies that drive business transformation innovation and measurable impact. You will work cross-functionally with business analytics data engineering and technology teams to unlock the value of data across the organization.
- Data Strategy Development: Define and drive the enterprise data strategy aligning with business objectives and long-term goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior leaders and functional heads to understand data needs prioritize use cases and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Data Governance & Quality: Collaborate on data governance frameworks ensuring data integrity compliance (e.g. GDPR) and ethical use.
- Innovation & Value Creation: Identify and lead high-impact data opportunities that generate business value such as personalization automation predictive modeling and advanced analytics.
- Roadmap & Execution: Build actionable data roadmaps set KPIs and oversee the delivery of strategic data initiatives.
- Mentorship & Thought Leadership: Provide mentorship to data analysts and scientists and serve as a thought leader in data strategy and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Science Business Computer Science Economics or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in data strategy data analytics business intelligence or a related domain.
- Proven experience translating business challenges into data solutions and driving organizational change.
- Strong knowledge of data platforms cloud environments (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and modern analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau Snowflake).
- Understanding of regulatory environments in the EU particularly GDPR.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a strong plus.
