POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Data and Assessment Coordinator is responsible for supporting and coordinating the effective use of student data systems and assessment tools across PK12 programming. This position plays a critical role in helping schools collect manage and interpret student data to improve instruction and support student learning. Under the direction of district leadership the Coordinator connects assessment practices to instructional goals and provides direct training and technical assistance to staff in the use of various data platforms including accurate data entry and reporting. The Coordinator also supports the integration of data within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) ensuring that educators have access to meaningful data to guide interventions and instructional planning. In collaboration with school and district teams the Coordinator ensures consistent implementation of data systems promotes data-informed decision-making and helps build a strong culture of data literacy across all levels. This includes providing hands-on training supporting professional learning communities and helping educators use assessment results to inform curriculum instruction and student support strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in the field Mathematics Research/ Evaluation/Assessment or related area preferred.
Excellent written communication organizational and management skills
Knowledge and experience in working with at risk populations including the development of specialized instruction for students with special needs
Demonstrated knowledge of school/district continuous improvement
Demonstrated leadership and success in staff development relationship building and implementation design
Extensive knowledge of balanced assessment programs and frameworks to improve instructional practice and student achievement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure data integrity within several data systems including transmission of student registration files receipt of student result data files and transferring assessment result files to appropriate data systems (e.g. Skyward Renaissance i-Ready NWEA EduClimber etc.) throughout the year including summer months when data is released.
Assist in the collection entry and validation of student data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Support the integration and use of data within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework to identify student needs and guide interventions.
Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to teachers administrators and support staff in accessing analyzing and applying data to instruction.
Promote a strong data culture by supporting professional learning communities (PLCs) in using data to inform curriculum instruction and assessment.
Serve as a bridge between technology and instruction ensuring that data tools are used effectively and consistently to support student achievement.
Oversee all data and assessment activities including the development administration and reporting of internal/district assessments as well as external state & national assessment programs.
Pre-identify students for appropriate assessments. Collaborate with other departments in order to ensure the successful implementation of the state assessment program for specialized student groups (e.g. English Learners Special Education etc.) that may require student supports and/or accommodations.
Organize administration of all assessment initiatives including benchmark screeners and summative assessments.
Coordinate and support building level Data and Assessment Coaches by facilitating regular meetings and ongoing training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelors Degree required
LANGUAGE MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS:Ability to speak and write to apply mathematical concepts to practical to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
