- Suffolk County Council The Mix Stowmarket - Hybrid
- 27711 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
- 37 hours per week (part-time working considered)

The Children and Young Peoples Directorate (CYP) holds responsibility for ensuring the safety well-being and development of children and young people across Suffolk County.
As anAssessment Coordinatorwithin CYPs Central Child in Need Team you will play a meaningful role in continuously enhancing service quality to create sustainable positive impacts for vulnerable children youth and families.
Your role and responsibilities
You will:
- communicate effectively and use your excellent organisational skills to ensure assessments and reports are within the timescale
- manage data proactively flag deadlines whilst supporting colleagues to meet targets
- respond to statutory requests for information within set timescales involving trawling databases and preparing responses for the manager
- help to drive quality assurance by supporting the team with the case management system
- proactively develop systems which will support and complement the social work team
You will need:
- good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively
- skilled in motivating others and can positively encourage team performance
- confidence in using data bases
- good customer service skills
- to be able to manage your workload effectively

The team
The team is responsible for undertaking social work assessments S47 investigations and supporting families where a child is in need or there is a child protection plan. The team work directly with children and families who present a range of complex needs.
They team aim to balance staff wellness with achieving the best possible outcomes for children and parents.
