Position at All Pets Animal Hospital
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate dependable and team-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role supports both the medical team and the front desk providing essential assistance in patient care and client service. The ideal candidate is adaptable friendly and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and teamwork are key.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient & Medical Support:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams procedures and treatments.
- Safely restrain animals for examinations and procedures.
- record patient vital signs
- Give injections and oral medications
- Clean and prepare exam rooms treatment areas and surgical suites.
- Provide basic animal care including feeding walking and cleaning kennels.
- Maintain hospital cleanliness and proper sanitation protocols.
- Educate clients on patients yearly recommendations.
Client Service Support:
- Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phones schedule appointments and check clients in and out.
- Assist with processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
- Help ensure smooth communication between front desk and medical teams.
- Support client education and provide updates on patient status as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred.
- Customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
- Strong communication organizational and multitasking skills.
- Positive attitude and a team-first mindset.
- Must be able to work some Saturdays & evenings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle animals of various sizes and temperaments.
- Prolonged periods of standing walking and bending.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $18 - $22 hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills qualifications experience and location
