Senior Accountant Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS)
Location: Annapolis MD (Hybrid schedule after training)
Salary: $75000$90000
Were seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) practice at a growing public accounting firm in Annapolis. This role involves managing full-cycle accounting for a varied client portfolio providing financial insights and guiding junior staff. What Youll Do
- Prepare analyze and review GAAP-compliant financial statements on a monthly quarterly and annual basis
- Lead general ledger maintenance account reconciliations journal entries and period-end close
- Advise clients on budgeting forecasting and strategic financial planning
- Oversee onboarding processes and support cloud accounting tool integrations (e.g. QuickBooks Online )
- Supervise junior accountants ensuring quality control and knowledge sharing
- Partner cross-functionally with tax payroll and consulting teams to deliver integrated client solutions
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or related certification preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience; public accounting background highly valued
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and familiarity with tools like CCH Engagement and Thomson Reuters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting platforms
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear client-focused communication style
