Job Description

Oxbow High School a seventh through twelfth grade middle/high school in Bradford Vermont is looking for qualified candidates to apply for the position of Math Interventionist for grades seven through twelve. This position will start immediately and is a grant funded position. The continuation of the position past the current school year is contingent upon grant funding and grant approval from year - to - year. This position is designed to further the work of school faculty and staff in the implementation of content math standards. The Math Intervention will design and implement resources and supports to help students of all abilities show growth towards the Mathematics Common Core State Standards and meet grade level proficiencies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and facilitate learning opportunities for students: In collaboration with classroom teachers the Math Interventionist will:provide systematic intervention instruction and support for students working to meet math proficiencies or looking to expand their math support and resources to teachers to ensure effective use and integration of research-based tools and strategies and monitoring of student progress toward math support with school math assessments: Collaborate to administer and analyze school-wide mathematics screeners on-demand assessments state assessments and other diagnostic assessments as necessary. Share data with full faculty help them interpret the data and facilitate the use of data to improve ongoing professional development to enhance pedagogical and content knowledge pertaining to math intervention data use progress monitoring and proficiency-based in the K-12 vertical teamwork on the development of a math assessment with the OESU Instructional Coach and/or OESU Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment with collection of assessment teachers with administration of assessments; analyze and interpret assessment results to help inform instructional strategies and curriculum participate in workshops in-service meetings teacher trainings building level staff meetings district meetings and other school and district committees/projects making substantial contributions. Share resources and support teachers in identifying appropriate instructional materials and implementation of abreast of current best practices research findings and other developments in the out and actively participate in opportunities for professional development to enhance content knowledge and teaching skills to support district goals and school action/strategic plansPerform other duties and responsibilities related to mathematics as assigned by the candidates should apply through school spring and include: a cover letter resume three current letters of recommendation transcripts (undergraduate and graduate); proof of Vermont licensure (in either 2-11 OR 4-19B and 11-11) or the ability to become licensed and PRAXIS (or the equivalent) test scores. Salary Range:The anticipated annual salary for this role is $46738 $90067 based on experience level of education. Compensation is determined by the districts collective bargaining agreement which considers factors such as degree level and years of compensation range is provided in accordance with Vermonts Pay Transparency Law and reflects a good faith estimate. Final salary may vary depending on qualifications licensure and other relevant factors
