Job Description

Job Purpose

The Adapted Sports Coordinator is responsible for sharing the mission of the hospital with the community by developing coordinating and maintaining community-based adaptive sports programs for youth with disabilities throughout Oklahoma. This role supports program development and implementation as well as coach credentialing and building strategic partnerships to educate and offer athletic opportunities ensuring that the hospitals core values are reflected in all community adaptive sports initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Percent of Time

Coordinates and facilitates a competitive adaptive sports program that promotes physical wellness emotional resilience and independence in youth with disabilities by organizing seasonal and year-round athletic opportunities; managing athletic participation and development; ensuring all activities follow safety standards; fulfilling program-related grant requirements through accurate tracking and reporting; and aligning all efforts with the hospitals mission to maximize each childs potential.

Identify develop and maintain strategic community partnerships to expand program reach and athlete opportunities by collaborating with schools nonprofit organizations and other adaptive sports programs to share resources and establish connections with the aim of promoting new participant involvement or long-term athlete growth toward higher-level competitions such as collegiate and Paralympic programs.

Support program quality and continuous improvement by coordinating coach onboarding and credentialing maintaining required coach certifications encouraging family involvement through feedback and events and assisting with program documentation communication and outcome evaluations.

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors degree in healthcare kinesiology sports management or related field preferred

Experience:

3-5 years of experience

License/Certification/Credential:

Healthcare related License/Certification/Credential preferred

This statute allows Bethany Childrens Health Center to refuse to hire an applicant or discharge an employee in a safety-sensitive position who tests positive for marijuana even if the applicant or employee holds a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license.
