Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Unit Reporting to lead our accounting and tax team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records compliance with tax regulations and continuous improvement of our accounting processes. For this position you need to speak Norwegian.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

    • Supervise mentor and develop a team of accountants and tax specialists.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Accounting Operations

    • Oversee general ledger accounts payable/receivable and month-end/year-end close processes.
    • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.
    • Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes.

Tax Compliance & Planning

    • Ensure compliance with local national and international tax regulations with support from Group Tax.
    • Oversee preparation and submission of tax returns (VAT corporate income tax etc.).

Process Improvement

    • Identify and implement improvements in accounting and tax processes.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
    • Support automation and digitalization initiatives. 

Qualifications :

We are looking for a Head of Unit Reporting Nordic Head with the right mindset and skills to help our team. That includes knowledge in:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • CPA ACCA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and tax with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/ NGAAP and local tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP Maestro Cognos or similar ERP systems).
  • English and Norwegian language
  • Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
