Job Description
Position how youll contribute
- Gather data from various sources including databases APIs web scraping and external datasets ensuring comprehensive coverage for analysis.
- Preprocess and clean the data to handle missing values outliers and inconsistencies ensuring high-quality data for analysis.
- Conduct exploratory analysis to understand data distributions identify patterns trends and correlations and generate insights that inform further analysis.
- Create new features or variables from existing data to improve the performance of machine learning models enhancing predictive capabilities.
- Build and train machine learning models using appropriate algorithms and techniques to solve specific business problems or make predictions.
- Assess model performance using metrics such as accuracy precision recall and F1 score and fine-tune hyperparameters to optimize results.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders making complex data more accessible and understandable.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers engineers and business analysts to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Deploy machine learning models into production environments and monitor their performance over time making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy.
- Document methodologies processes and results to ensure transparency and reproducibility and prepare reports or presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications :
Expectations the experience you need
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role with a strong portfolio of projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g. Pandas NumPy).
- Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn TensorFlow Keras).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Matplotlib Seaborn) to present findings effectively.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
