Job Description
The School of Public Service at Elizabethtown College is currently seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach PBH 311: Public Health Interventions in the Fall of 2025. The course is taught in person on our campus in Elizabethtown PA and is currently scheduled for Monday Wednesday Friday 2:00 3:20 though it may be possible to change the time of the course for the right faculty member. Public Health Interventions ( PBH 311) explores intervention approaches in public health through environmental change policy and systems change social change and behavioral change approaches. In partnership with communities students assess community needs and assets using both primary and secondary data sources. Data will be used to design interventions and/or to select intervention approaches that have been determined to be effective (evidence based interventions). The course is part of the colleges Community Based Learning program through which students engage with a community partner to apply course concepts to real world issues.
Required Qualifications
Successful candidates will have graduate training in the field of public health or related fields. Previous experience teaching undergraduate courses is preferred.
