Adjunct faculty member needed to teach a section of Interpersonal Relationships in the fall of 2025 and future semesters.
Interpersonal Relationships is a required course in the Flourish program a program for students with intellectual disabilities. There will be a small student to teacher ratio to support individualization based on student needs. The course description is: This course will focus on the concepts of interpersonal communication with the intention of developing relationships which will allow students to find purpose and connection within leisure activities. Having a good understanding of emotions connections to others healthy relationships and finding purpose and meaning in their lives will be the key concepts of this course.
Bachelor in Special Education or a related field is required. Masters in Special Education or a related field is preferred. Five years of experience teaching Special Education is required. Holding a current Illinois LBS1 license is preferred.
Salary will be $2160 for the three-credit course.
