UH-60 mechanic will perform scheduled inspections repairs and maintenance on aircraft systems and subsystems to include the lubrication of required components and the removal and installation of aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required; assists in the troubleshooting and inspection of aircraft systems subsystems and components according to all applicable technical publications and regulations; diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems; maintains aircraft historical forms and records. .
Responsibilities
Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft and structural components of moderate difficulty.
Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls engines hydraulics pneumatics fuel systems and mechanical components.
Applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions.
Applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation.
Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as Blueprints or manufactures manuals.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting repair procedures and replacement of parts.
Must have knowledge of electrical theory.
Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment torque wrenches dial indicators and micrometers.
UH-60 maintenance experience.
Must be able to pass T1 background check.
Mechanic must have their own tools in accordance with US Army 15T toolbox standards.
This job requires working knowledge of technical publications and will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
A&P cert with 2 years on rotary wing OR 6 years of UH-60 maintenance experience (preferred).
