Job Description

Join USfalcon as a Strategic Business Analyst in Colorado Springs CO. In this pivotal role you will drive strategic growth efforts in the defense and federal sectors playing a critical role in market analysis opportunity identification and proposal development. Your work will directly support high-value government contracting efforts helping shape the future of mission-critical defense solutions.

Pay: $80000 - $100000

Essential Duties

Strategic Growth & Business Development

  • Lead strategic business development and capture efforts for defense and federal contracting opportunities.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies for high-value opportunities within the DoD and federal sectors.
  • Analyze customer needs competitive landscapes and pricing strategies to build winning pursuit plans.

Proposal & Capture Support

  • Collaborate with proposal managers technical teams and SMEs to deliver compliant competitive proposals.
  • Facilitate color team reviews (Black Hat Blue Team Pink Team etc.) to refine strategies and validate win themes.
  • Support bid/no-bid decisions capture budgets and gate reviews in coordination with the Strategic Growth Team.

Relationship Management & Intelligence Gathering

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government clients prime contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence analysis using BI tools (e.g. GovWin PowerBI) to track trends and monitor competitors.
  • Support the development of win strategies and key differentiators for proposals.

Risk Management & Reporting

  • Track and report progress on active captures identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to pipeline management by ensuring accurate reporting and maintaining database integrity.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in business analysis business development or capture management within the defense or federal contracting sectors.
  • Proven experience supporting DoD or federal captures valued at $25M or more.
  • Strong knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle including procurement vehicles (e.g. IDIQs GWACs) and capture best practices.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools (Salesforce GovWin Microsoft Dynamics PowerBI).
  • Ability to obtain required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with DoD DHS NASA GSA or the Intelligence Community.
  • APMP certification or equivalent training in capture/proposal management.
  • Technical background in IT cybersecurity systems integration or engineering services.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Political Science or a related field.

Required Clearance

  • Clearable (Ability to obtain security clearance).

Travel

  • 10% travel required.
