- Title: Business System Analyst (BSA)
- Type: Contract (until November 30 2025 with possible extension)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Hybrid - Montreal or Toronto (at least 3 days/week in the client office).
Note: If youre in Toronto you must also travel to Montreal for important events. - Language: French not required but bilingual (English & French) is a plus.
Project Background
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Banking Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consulting within the banking sector particularly in large-scale system implementations related to Banking Services and Payments. This role requires a Senior Consultant equivalent with a proven track record of delivering projects end-to-end.
The project is at a critical juncture with many production events lined up over the next few months and overtime and weekend work will be required they should also not have any vacation planned during the contract. They should be willing to come into the office (Montreal or Toronto) at least 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications for system enhancements and implementations.
- Project Management:
- Work backwards from deliverables to develop project plans timelines and milestones.
- Identify key stakeholders and facilitate collaboration to drive project outcomes.
- End-to-End Delivery:
- Take ownership of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle ensuring timely and quality completion.
- Manage and coordinate activities across various teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Technical Exposure:
- Leverage exposure to technical subjects to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that system designs meet business needs.
- Proactive Problem Solving:
- Demonstrate resourcefulness in addressing challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively communicate project status risks and issues to stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration:
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration among team members.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Tools and Methodologies:
- Utilize Jira for project tracking and management ensuring that tasks are properly assigned and monitored.
- Apply best practices in business analysis and project management methodologies to enhance project efficiency.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Business/Systems Analyst in a consulting role within the banking industry.
- Proven experience in delivering end-to-end implementations preferably in an implementation-style project.
- Strong program management skills with a focus on deliverables and stakeholder collaboration.
- Some exposure to technical subjects either professionally or through other experiences.
- Demonstrated ownership of deliverables showcasing proactiveness and resourcefulness.
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
- Prior experience with Jira is a plus.
