Sr. Mainframe Developer

Located within the Washington corridor CGH has worked successfully with Government Commercial and International sectors providing management consulting software development and facilities/infrastructure design maintenance and program management support of large complex operational environments and facilities security maintenance. CGH has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Mainframe Developer to join the CGH Team.

Purpose:

This role involves supporting the federal customers industry specific systems. Responsibilities span the entire application lifecycle from initial requirements gathering and analysis to development testing and operational support for crucial applications that process background investigation information umder Eclipse and Cyberark.

The successful candidate will be a member of the development team contributing to both ongoing operational and maintenance (O&M) activities and enhancement initiatives related to application-level development and operations support. Collaboration and coordination are key aspects of the role requiring interaction with infrastructure networking security and other support teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide software maintenance and enhancements for a large integrated government case management software application including batch online and online-to-batch components with interfaces to numerous other applications both internal and external to the customer.
• Design solutions that effectively meet the customer needs including but not limited to: Software design coding unit testing and documentation.
• Comprehensive support for integration testing database migration and deployment and user production validation.
• On call availability for emergency mainframe batch job issue troubleshooting as needed.
• Conduct feasibility research and detailed level-of-effort estimation for enhancement and large maintenance project requests
• Anticipate customer and project needs and proactively identify possible solutions.
• Provide detailed activity reporting.

Qualifications

Number of Years Experience Required:

• 12 years experience required

Minimum Education and Certifications Required:

• Bachelors Degree required

Technical Skills Required:

• Windows 11
• TSO JCL IBM Mainframe Utilities
• Software AG Products including: Mainframe ADABAS/Natural SYSPAC SYSMAIN XREF programming in Natural One under CyberArk
• Experience with the following is a plus: IBM Host on Demand ServiceNow APM DoD SAFE IBM HATS XML Java MS Visio.

Computer Skills:

• Microsoft Office 365: Word Excel Outlook Teams etc.

Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:

• US Citizenship and ability to hold a TS Security Clearance.
• Top Secret (TS) clearance preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills capable of both collaborative and independent work.
• Efficiently manages multiple projects and deadlines.
• While performing the duties of this job the individual is regularly required to sit stand talk hear and use a computer/keyboard/mouse for several hours on a daily basis.
• May require occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds
• The hiring range for this position is $125K - $140K/year based on relevant experience and position requirements as determined by the customer parameters.

Candidates selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
