Senior Sourcing Manager; Operations - The role:

As a Senior Sourcing Manager you will lead a high-performing team and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing sourcing strategies that support the firms global operations and sustainability goals.

  • Manage and develop a team of sourcing professionals aligned to key procurement categories.
  • Lead the team to deliver effective category management and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Partner with stakeholders to oversee category plans and recommend innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals based on risk cost quality compliance and budget efficiency.
  • Monitor contract lifecycles to ensure timely renewals and cost-effective procurement.
  • Collaborate with Legal Finance Data Protection and Information Security on due diligence and supplier onboarding.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sourcing performance and vendor compliance for senior stakeholders.
  • Champion the use of technology to enhance procurement processes and improve spend visibility.
  • Act as the escalation point for supplier issues and implement governance improvements.
  • Integrate ESG DE&I and carbon-conscious practices into sourcing strategies.
  • Support global category oversight and ensure consistent sourcing practices across regions.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support the teams transition to a global function

Senior Sourcing Manager Operations - What were looking for:

  • 5 years experience managing category planning and sourcing in a global professional services firm (legal sector preferred).
  • Proven ability to define procurement requirements and recommend supplier solutions.
  • Strong track record in responsible sourcing and sustainable supply chain practices.
  • Experience in purchasing technology-related goods and services (e.g. cloud software hardware) is highly desirable.
  • CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
  • A collaborative leader with commercial awareness and a passion for ethical procurement
