Job Description
AsSr. Data Scientist I youll develop and deploy advanced computer vision models for object detection tracking and classification in visual media; implement AI/ML pipelines from data processing through edge deployment; optimize model performance across diverse compute environments from edge devices to enterprise data centers

What youll do:
- Design and develop computer vision models for detection tracking and classification of objects of interest in visual media ensuring models adhere to standard input formats and export capabilities
- Implement AI/ML techniques for automated data processing labeling and categorization of image content including image segmentation feature extraction and efficient clustering
- Build maintain and migrate scalable computer vision pipelines to secure environments while streamlining data exploration and model training processes
- Develop metadata enhancement strategies and active learning approaches to improve model accuracy motion tracking and object detection capabilities
- Optimize models for edge deployment using quantization pruning and compression techniques while implementing enterprise GPU acceleration solutions (CUDA TensorRT) for high-performance inferencing
- Conduct performance analysis across latency memory usage and power consumption metrics ensuring mission requirements are maintained within edge compute constraints while supporting automated deployment and monitoring
What youll need to succeed:
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance required
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or related field
- 4 years experience in AI/ML model development and computer vision
- Proficiency with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow PyTorch OpenCV scikit-learn)
- Experience with computer vision techniques including object detection tracking and classification
- Knowledge of image processing segmentation and feature extraction methods
- Familiarity with GPU acceleration technologies (CUDA TensorRT) and AI frameworks
- Experience with model optimization techniques (quantization pruning compression)
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience in C preferred
- Understanding of edge computing and deployment constraints
- Experience with data labeling annotation tools and dataset management
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes)
SALARY RANGE: $129000 - $159000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
