Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Formulation Scientist to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This role involves developing and optimizing formulations supporting product scale-up and ensuring compliance with GMP standards and FDA regulations. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient pharmaceutical products.
Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize formulations and manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products

Collaborate with Product Development (PD) teams to plan and execute pilot and scale-up batches
-
Analyze in-process data to determine and support optimal manufacturing parameters
-
Provide technical support during initial production runs of new or reformulated products
-
Assist in technology transfer commercial support and troubleshooting formulation/process challenges

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed

Ensure compliance with FDA regulations cGMP standards SOPs and other quality systems

Prepare and summarize data from formulation stability studies

Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and updates

Support documentation activities related to GMP batch records and process validation
Primary Skills:

Knowledge of GMP FDA and regulatory documentation

Technical writing and communication
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with technology transfer and commercial product support

Knowledge of quality systems and cGMP compliance

Familiarity with experimental design (DoE) and data analytics
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biochemistry Biotechnology or related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or formulation development

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical GMPs and regulatory requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
