Job Summary:
The Division of General Internal Medicine Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP: Advanced Practice Provider) interested in a career as a clinician practicing and teaching general internal medicine in a patient-centered medical home located at Lowry Internal Medicine Clinic in Denver Colorado.
The APP will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician/educator/scholar. APPs are encouraged to collaborate with other faculty in clinical research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care for patients at a University of Colorado Hospital Internal Medicine Clinic for the following appointment types: new continuity hospital/ED follow-up acute and annual/wellness exams.
- Provide care for empaneled patients as well as acute care for teammates patients as needed.
- Share responsibilities for night weekend and vacation coverage with other members of the group practice.
- There may be opportunities to serve as a preceptor for APP students.

Onsite - This role is expected to work onsite and is located in the Denver Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Instructor:
- Masters degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado
- Medicare/Medicaid credentials
- Unrestricted DEA license
- Board certified or board eligible as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Two (2) or more years of professional experience in a primary care setting
- Fellowships will count toward years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years of professional experience in a primary care setting

- Experience working with Epic or another EHR

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this faculty Instructor level position has been established as:
$111321 $130000.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
