Purpose of the Position

The IT Fulfillment Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the procurement and fulfillment of all IT hardware and software needs. This position is responsible for maintaining stock and keeping an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets. The Fulfillment Support Specialist will work closely with all IT teams to gather document and action their procurement needs while ensuring alignment with our procurement policies and frameworks. This position will help develop and implement processes systems and standards for the procurement approval and tracking of IT assets spend and budget.

Although the location of the position is in Newton NJ from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations.

Essential Job Functions include the following but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Oversee the assignment and removal of IT assets and the procurement of additions as needed.
  • Manage the receiving shipping control and movement of IT equipment stock.
  • Maintain an up-to-date application portfolio and maximize value from existing assets.
  • Collaborate with IT operations to perform feature and functionality comparison of IT hardware & peripherals defining standards that meet end user needs.
  • Assist in tracking IT spend and total overall cost for IT.
  • Document procurement requests and the approval process.
  • Participate in the development of procurement standards procedures and frameworks.
  • Support the management and reporting of hardware software and asset inventory.

In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above all positions are also responsible for:

Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.

Adhering to Company policies procedures and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

Physical Activities: The employee is occasionally required to stoop kneel crouch climb or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.



Requirements

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a procurement stock control role or relevant admin background is preferred

Education:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience is required.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities manage workload independently and meet departmental deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving & decision making.
  • Strong communication facilitation networking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning/organizational skills.
  • Experience with asset management / stock control is desirable.
  • Experience with purchasing or similar admin duties.
  • Experience working with an IT ticketing system
  • Desired experience with Active Directory Azure or System/Device management.
  • Desired experience with Microsoft licensing.

Salary range for this position is $59367 - $74209 d.o.e.
