The Lead Nurse Coordinator screens individuals experiencing acute intoxication from alcohol and other substances to determine their eligibility for admission to the Sobering Center. In addition to this primary clinical duty they provide daily operational oversight for the program its EMTs and Recovery Specialists to ensure a safe and effective environment. This lead role is central to staff development serving as the primary trainer for all new Nurse Coordinators EMTs and Recovery Specialists. To further ensure the quality of the program the Lead Nurse Coordinator also undertakes special projects as assigned and maintains oversight of all medical supplies and equipment.

  • Assist with the training and provide guidance for Health Techs/Recovery Specialist
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Program Manager


What else is required

  • Current LVN/LPN with New Mexico
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Substance Use Disorders Mental Health and Crisis Intervention
  • 3 year experience in similar setting with demonstrated increase of shift responsibility/leadership
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
  • Must have a NM drivers license and good driving record in good standing depending on program
  • Fluency in at least one of New Mexico threshold languages (Vietnamese Mandarin Cantonese Dari Arabic Swahili Kinyarwanda and Din (Navajo)
