About You

We are looking for a culture champion with experience working alongside and supporting a high-performing leadership team. You have a can-do attitude professional integrity and are a passionate and dynamic HR professional.

About the Role

The Manager People and Culture is an intrinsic member of the MS Societys leadership team.

Our people are our most significant and valuable asset. Our ability to provide services and support to people living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions is completely dependent on the success of our people. As our culture champion the Manager People and Culture is critical to ensuring the MS Society upholds its values and supports our staff to deliver for our clients.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer you will be responsible for all HR activities and projects including recruitment performance management learning and development industrial relations remuneration work health and safety and HR reporting.

Building on your technical knowledge of industrial relations and work health and safety:

  • Design construct and implement our People and Culture initiatives to align Human Resource policies practices and programs to the organisations strategic and business direction.
  • Ensure People and Culture practices are engaging collaborative in design and of a high standard to allow us to attract retain and build upon the capabilities of staff.
  • Provide sound and expert advice coach and support managers in complex workplace people issues including grievances performance improvement disciplinary matters conduct and other investigations to build a harmonious and productive working environment.
  • Review emerging people and culture trends and industry best practice for opportunities to advance the organisation
  • Develop and maintain a workforce capability framework to ensure that MS Society has the right people with the right skills in the right jobs.
