About you
Youre a passionate empathetic and caring individual who is looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others. You relish a challenge and new experience. Youre calm collected and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team.

About the role
To Wellways a Support Worker is as unique and individual as the participants they support. Our Support Workers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences but they all share a common goal of empowerment and development of participants.

Support provided to participants include but are not limited to:

  • Assistance with Daily Life
  • Transport
  • Assistance with Social & Community Participation
  • Improved Living Arrangements
  • Increased Social and Community Participation

You will help participants flourish according to their own interests and goals to enable them to participate in a positive and confident manner within their community.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum Qualification in Certificate 3 or 4 in Mental Health Disability Aged Care or Home and Community Care
  • Expertise across a diversity of disability types including mental health
  • Previous hoisting/lifters medications and community access experience (desirable)

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
  • A current valid Drivers License.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • National Police Records Check Working with Childrens Check - Employee and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • First Aid certificate
