TheWaldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch is looking for aDirector of Marketingto form part of the pre-opening team for this brand-new luxury hotel set to summer is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Leader to support the opening of one of Londons most anticipated hotels.

This luxury hotel will be housed in the iconic Admiralty Arch a Grade I listed building located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace.

The project is a collaboration between Hilton and Reuben Brothers who acquired the property in 2022. The hotel will feature 112 rooms and suites including a two-bedroom VIP suite on the fourth-floor bridge with stunning views of Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar can also enjoy a rooftop terrace on the sixth floor and a ground-floor terrace overlooking St Jamess Park.

The Director of Marketing will be responsible in assisting the Commercial Director with all Marketing Planning & Execution strategies for the hotel.



What will I be doing

Oversees all Marketing Planning & Execution strategies for the hotel. Responsible for the development management and execution of all aspects of the marketing/branding strategies to include Marketing Budgets Social Media Websites Digital & Print Advertising Collateral Video/Photography Assets etc. that maximizes exposure in order to achieve budget increase revenues and market share targets.

Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Develops strategic marketing plans and establish annual marketing budgets along with GM CD DOS and DORM. Marketing plans should be annual monthly and by segment of deployment inclusive of cost deployment strategies (print digital and/or social media) through the review of competitive data demand analysis and market mix management.

Creates manages and implements media/marketing plans and programs both short and long term to increase revenues awareness and expansion of property products and/or services. Works with on-property and regional revenue management to develop offers or leverage off-the-shelf offers based on hotel-level needs.

Manages strategic direction on all marketing related areas including but not limited to: Social Media Websites Digital & Print Advertising Email & Collateral PR.

Identifies outside agencies and responsible for development of agenda strategy.

Work closely with agencies specializing in luxury and experiential travel (e.g: Virtuoso) to develop marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Work/Liaison with internal corporate partners related to internal corporate partners including but not limited to Brand Destination and ECG.

Oversees the strategy budget and development of visual assets and arranges photo & video shoots as needed/appropriate.

Oversees the development and content strategy of hotel level websites.

Identifies partnership/sponsorship opportunities with luxury brands for joint outreach.

Coordinates influencer strategy with public relations team to leverage social media opportunities.

Conducts paid marketing surveys on current and new service levels and product concepts.

Develop and implement a crisis communications plan in conjunction with operations teams when required.

What are we looking for

A Director of Marketing serving Hilton Brand hotels is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude behaviours skills and values that follow:

University degree in Marketing or Hotel Management

Experience of working in a similar marketing position in the hospitality sector or in luxury goods/retail.

Experience of managing and motivating a team along with evidence of driving successful team results

Proven knowledge of creating leading and managing fundamental and complex projects to tight deadlines

Experience of developing creating and managing marketing campaigns with associated costs and working to budget restraints

Complete understanding of key functions relating to marketing strategies and initiatives whilst managing multiple work streams

Experience in developing and implementing effective and realistic marketing plans and strategies including budget evaluation management and reporting

Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels of management

Outstanding communication skills in all areas of writing listening and speaking English. Developed proficiency of native language dependant on location of role.

Communicate key information effectively to all levels of management using a variety of communication tools

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications budget management project and time management

Able to think analytically critically and strategically when faced with unique opportunities challenges prioritising and identifying productive solutions

Ability to influence others in key situations whilst maintaining positive relationships

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to include strong leadership cultural sensitivity

Execute calculated risks and pre-determine successful outcome

Ability to relate to the marketing world and adapt to changing priorities quickly and with ease

An accomplished leader offering excellent judgement time management and decision making skills

Professional approach clean and well groomed at all times
