We are seeking a highly experienced proactive and detail-oriented Facility Engineering Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our Factory at Borg Al Arab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe efficient and well-maintained environment for all occupants and assets playing a critical role in supporting our business operations and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Maintenance Management:
- Oversee all facility operations including building maintenance grounds keeping janitorial services security and waste management.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all building systems (Fire suppression security systems etc.) to ensure optimal functionality and extend asset life.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimize disruption.
- Manage and supervise internal maintenance staff and external contractors
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Source evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors (e.g. cleaning services security specialized technicians).
- Negotiate contracts review service level agreements and ensure quality of service delivery with the Purchasing Department.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the annual facilities budget including operational expenses capital improvements and maintenance costs.
- Monitor expenditures identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Health Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure the facility complies with all local regulations health and safety standards (e.g. Egyptian building codes fire safety regulations occupational health and safety standards).
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans (fire drills evacuation procedures) and business continuity plans related to facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
Utilities & Resource Management:
- Monitor utility consumption (electricity water gas) and implement strategies for energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of facility-related supplies and equipment.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all facility-related matters for employees management and external parties.
- Provide regular reports on facility performance maintenance activities and project status.
Asset Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of facility assets and manage their lifecycle.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil)
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience at domain facility management operations or property management preferably in a Textile industry e.g. corporate manufacturing industrial environment.

- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC electrical plumbing fire safety) and maintenance best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management contract negotiation and budget management.
- In-depth understanding of Egyptian health safety and building regulations.
- Excellent leadership communication (written and verbal in Arabic and English) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to facility issues.
