Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our restaurant team. As a Steward you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas supporting the kitchen and service staff and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils equipment cutlery crockery and glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen dishwashing area and dining areas.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks such as food preparation and waste disposal.
- Handle dishwashing machines and manual cleaning as per standards.
- Ensure proper storage of clean utensils and equipment.
- Follow hygiene and safety guidelines strictly.
- Support service staff in resetting tables clearing used plates and refilling water as needed.
- Dispose of garbage responsibly and maintain cleanliness of waste bins.
- Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure availability of clean crockery and utensils during service hours.
