McDonalds Global People organization has an immediate opportunity for a People Partner Manager for our Asia Business Unit (ABU).
We are seeking an experienced HR professional who can partner with and support our 12 Asia markets to drive their people strategy to support business growth. Strong experience in talent management talent acquisition rewards and change management is required.

Principal Accountabilities
Support CPO ABU in building robust people plans for the Asia Business Unit and the assigned Asia markets:
People Strategy
- Ensure the markets are fully on broad with the Global People Strategy. Consult with market HR leaders to develop people plans based on greater levels of insights and specific local needs
- Leverage from the Global People Centers of Excellence for subject matter expertise support for key strategic priorities (e.g. employer reputation; diversity & inclusion)
- Leverage people analytics and industry data across the market to yield specific insights on ways to improve GP programming and people-related practices coupled with local needs
Talent Management
- Elevate the priority of talent management in the markets with focus on key business priorities leadership and/or critical roles and high potential talent
- Coach market People teams to build a strong talent pipeline and succession planning to drive business growth
Employer Branding & Talent Acquisition
- Support markets to strengthen their employer brand by leveraging from global employer reputation strategies and best practice sharing
- Collaborate with Global Talent Acquisition team to align on search strategies to meet business unit talent acquisition needs
- Develop robust onboarding plan for business unit team members provide orientation for new hires; and complete proper exit procedures for leavers
Change Management and Culture Activation
- Support the activation of the cultural pillars at Business Unit level and influence the markets to embed into their local culture
- Assess the effectiveness of cultural change efforts and recommend appropriate actions
Support the Chief People Officer ABU in partnering with our employees based in Singapore and Hong Kong Regional Offices:
Provide quality HR services and office services to respective global function and business segment employees
HR Services Delivery
- Support the Global Function HR Business Partners to take care of the global function employees in the office which covers the full employment life cycle of talent acquisition employee communication and engagement and termination formalities
Benefits Management
- Work with Rewards Manager and execute local employee benefit plans in collaboration with LEX (Local Experience Specialists). This includes CPF schemes medical insurance life insurance business travel insurance and physical check-up program; Liaise with the assigned insurance broker with regard to renewal and claim issues
Payroll Management
- Manage the payroll vendor work with LEX to prepare monthly payroll for local employees in the office; Reconcile with Finance to ensure absolute accuracy in employee payroll data
- Update global assignee compensation details for tax reporting; and liaise with global assignees and tax consultant on tax payments/tax equalization arrangement
Other HR Processes
- Deliver on-boarding services and provide orientation for new hires; and complete proper exit procedures for leavers
- Oversee Employment Pass applications and renewals for global assignees and locally hired foreign employees
- Support Global Compliance office to roll-out compliance related training and certification in the office
Qualifications :
- 8 to 10 years HRBP experience ideally with regional experience within a large complex & global organisation.
- Rich exposure to talent management talent acquisition rewards and change management.
- Hands-on experience in managing payroll outsourcing and office services will be a plus
- Proven ability to interact and influence senior leaders
- A self-starter and be able work independently with minimum supervision
