Job Description
Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team thats shaping the future of data in retail. As a Test Engineer within our Data Operations team youll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cloud-based data solutions. Were looking for someone whos passionate about testing automation and continuous improvement and who thrives in a diverse and inclusive environment.
What youll be doing:
- Supporting and evolving a robust data testing strategy
- Designing and maintaining automated and reusable test solutions
- Leveraging cloud platforms to validate data accuracy and performance
- Developing tools and artefacts to support structural functional and non-functional testing
- Collaborating with developers and analysts to identify and resolve data issues
- Feeding back test results and insights to improve data quality and processes
- Contributing to planning and prioritisation of testing activities
- Promoting fairness and value for all customers through rigorous testing
Qualifications :
Who were looking for:
- Understanding of SQL DDL DML and experience with test automation
- Familiarity with Python for scripting and database integration
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify data anomalies and root causes
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or SQL Server
- Knowledge of testing techniques across the data lifecycle
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Relevant qualifications or experience in software/data testing (e.g. ISTQB)
