Job Description
Clinical Management of Complex HIV/TB Cases:
Leads the clinical management of complicated HIV and TB cases across all district facilities including clients with Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) opportunistic infections high viral load and treatment interruption.
LEEP Service Provision:
Provides LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) services at the district hospital at least two days per week in close collaboration with the assigned MOH focal person to support cervical cancer prevention and treatment.
Onsite Clinical Mentorship:
Provides hands-on mentorship and capacity building to nurses at health centres particularly in the management of complex cases. Ensures alignment with national guidelines and builds provider confidence through case-based learning.
Oversight of Documentation and Registers:
Maintains oversight of all care and treatment documentation across facilities in collaboration with the district-level focal person. This includes ensuring the completeness and accuracy of key registers (AHD TB cervical cancer high viral load and eMTCT).
Quality Data Management and Use:
Works closely with the district team to ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting across PEPFAR-supported programmatic areas including ART cervical cancer screening and treatment TB AHD PrEP PMTCT EID and others.
District-Level Technical Coordination:
Serves as the District Technical Lead supporting the implementation of HIV/TB program activities across all technical areas. Works in close partnership with the District Programme Optimisation Officer to maintain a functional collaborative and high-performing team.
Case Finding and Linkage Optimization:
Provides technical assistance to health care workers at key service delivery points to enhance case identification and linkage to care. Supports integration and optimization of entry points such as PMTCT PITC EID TB/HIV and outreach services to improve ART enrolment.
Qualifications :
MD MBBS MBChB
Master of Public Health; Master of Sciences or equivalent degree or experience is an added advantage.
Additional Information :
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in public health program implementation preferably in HIV TB MNCH or health systems strengthening at district or facility level.
Demonstrated experience providing technical support and mentorship to healthcare workers and facility teams in clinical or community-based settings.
Proven ability to work with District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) and coordinate multisectoral stakeholders at the sub-national level.
Strong understanding of national health policies guidelines and decentralized health systems in Lesotho or similar contexts.
Experience in planning conducting and reporting on supportive supervision and mentorship visits.
