Job Description
What will you be doing
As a Systems Architect Engineer youll play a pivotal role in shaping the design of next-generation nuclear power stations. Youll lead the definition of system-level architecture and performance strategy ensuring top-level requirements are met through smart integration of complex engineering disciplines.
This is a high-impact role where your decisions will directly influence design direction system performance and delivery outcomes across a major clean energy programme.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of complex nuclear systems
- Use systems engineering and optioneering techniques to evaluate and define optimal solutions
- Translate high-level programme goals into well-defined system architectures
- Drive alignment across mechanical electrical control and structural disciplines
- Own key architectural decisions and performance trade-offs to meet functional and regulatory requirements
- Ensure traceability of requirements through the system hierarchy
- Act as a technical bridge between design engineering and programme teams
Who are we looking for
- Familiar with tools and methodologies like MBSE SysML DOORS or equivalent
- Strong understanding of systems architecture principles and engineering lifecycle management

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Systems Engineering Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Aerospace or similar
- Experience in nuclear aerospace defence or other highly regulated sectors
- Ability to perform trade studies manage interfaces and drive multidisciplinary decisions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
