Location: California-Based (Remote First 90% Virtual / 10% Office Presence)

HireNow Staffing is working with a distinguished California-based law firm to add an Employment Law Partner to its rapidly expanding PAGA and class action defense team. If youre ready to lead major litigation matters while growing a scalable practice and mentoring a team this is your moment.
Key Responsibilities
PAGA and Class Action Litigation:
Direct legal strategy in Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) lawsuits including pre-litigation evaluation discovery and court appearances.
Oversee case teams conduct witness interviews and lead negotiation sessions.
Prepare clients for audits depositions and court-mandated settlements.
Client Advisory & Preventative Counseling:
Guide employers on wage and hour practices employee classifications off-the-clock claims and rest/meal break compliance.
Audit HR processes to identify potential class/PAGA risk before exposure occurs.
Analyze legal trends and proactively update clients on regulatory changes.
Business Development & Thought Leadership:
Build a portfolio of high-profile employer clients through industry visibility and referrals.
Deliver training seminars and webinars on PAGA strategy and defense tactics.
Publish insights and updates to reinforce the firms leadership in this niche space.
Team Management:
Mentor mid-level and junior attorneys across ongoing litigation matters.
Review legal documents and provide final approvals on motions pleadings and settlement language.
Promote an internal culture of knowledge-sharing and legal excellence.
Qualifications
JD and licensed to practice law in California
Minimum 8 years of labor & employment litigation experience
Expertise in PAGA and class action defense is essential
Confident team leader and business generator
Trial experience preferred but not mandatory
Highly skilled in legal research oral advocacy and strategic planning
