DescriptionWellSpan Medical Weight Management is seeking a dynamic Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician who is board certified in Obesity Medicine. A good understanding of telemedicine & Epic is preferred. This collegial team is separate from Bariatric Surgery and works collaboratively to provide patients with the best care possible. The ideal candidate will be adaptable compassionate & open minded and comfortable supervising CRNPs.
Practice Specifics:
- Innovative providers include a lead physician & several experienced CRNPs.

- Strong referral base from a 6-county area & focus on increased patient access.
- Hybrid model of remote/in person.

ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Exercise autonomy in clinical decision-making
- Diagnose and treat many common acute and chronic problems
- Prescribe and manage medications and other therapies
- Provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic health services
- Perform physical exams and health histories
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
- Perform procedures as applicable to specialty
- Practice in collaboration with all members of the health care team and refers to other providers when necessary
- Engage in research education patient advocacy and administrative activities
- Acts as an educator to mid-levels nursing and administrative staff within the office
- Dictates reviews and completes medical record upon completion of applicable visit or procedure
- Obtains necessary CME credits in order to maintain necessary state licensure
- Participates in monthly provider and staff meetings and other requested meetings
- Assigns appropriate CPT and ICD9 codes to office and inpatient visits
- Responds to messages and phone calls in a prompt and timely fashion
Common Expectations:
- Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested.
- Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and error proof systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Courses and Training:
- Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
