Role Detail
Business acceptance is essentially engagement risk. New business acceptance involves managing the firms professional conduct obligations as well as commercial regulatory and reputational risks when accepting new clients and matters. Joining our pivotal Global Business Acceptance Team (GBAT) this role has responsibility for all aspects of the client and business intake process across the global firm from the initial introduction of new business through to its conclusion.
From the analysis and identification of professional conduct duties (conflicts confidentiality) commercial conflicts/client alignment strategic regulatory (AML sanctions and financial crime) and reputational risks when accepting new clients and matters GBAT offers variety.
Based in the Sydney CBD office and enjoying a balanced approach to WFH key responsibilities will include:
- Conflicts of Interest Confidentiality and Information Barriers (IBs)
- New client acceptance & financial crime: Anti-money laundering (AML)/Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) Know Your Client (KYC) compliance sanctions plus higher risk considerations
- GBAT projects and data management
About You

Drawing on our principles of betterment quality and clarity you will need exceptional analytical capabilities along with:
- 1 - 3 years post qualification experience
- Ability to work autonomously and learn independently with ongoing guidance and training
- Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Capacity to multi-task and a flexible proactive attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit sound judgement
