In this exciting and dynamic role youll be at the heart of providing exceptional care to young people in our residential care homes. When the House Supervisor is off shift youll step up and take the reinsensuring a safe nurturing and supportive environment where every resident feels valued. As a key part of our Out of Home Care Program youll collaborate closely with the House Supervisor and Residential Care Coordinator playing a vital role in delivering compassionate care fostering growth and creating an environment where young people can truly thrive.

We have 2 Full-Time opportunities based in Meadow Heights and Fawkner VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The positions report to the House Supervisor.

Our Offer

  • Hourly Rateof $44.58 to $47.97 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 4 dependent on qualification and experience. Penalty and allowances are applied on top of hourly rate.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise lead and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current and valid Drivers Licence;
  • Hold a current and valid Employee Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Hold a valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top up units)
