You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailBuncombe County is hiring an Administrative Support Associate III. This individual will be a dynamic asset to health and human services - clinical services and the communicable disease team of eight (8) registered nurses.
The Administrative Support Associate III provides advanced administrative support to the Communicable Disease (CD) team including tuberculosis and other infectious disease case investigations. This non-exempt role ensures smooth daily operations by managing schedules data quality supporting patient follow-up and coordinating program communication. This is a hybrid position and offers designated office hours as well as the privilege to work from home. Ideal candidates possess strong organizational skills maintain strict confidentiality are HIPAA compliant and skillful in communicable disease lab/report records in healthcare and state-run databases. Essential skills include being proficient in Microsoft Office (word excel power point outlook) and having experience with Electronic Health Records and case- management systems. It is paramount that this position provides discretion professionalism empathy and adaptability under pressure. The Administrative Support Associate III position requires a candidate to work independently and as part of a highly functioning multidisciplinary public health team. The candidate must reside within a (2) hour drive of Buncombe County have a High School diploma or equivalent four (4) years of customer service/office experience and be a Public Health advocate.
Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations of a program or department.
Minimum Education Training and/or Experience (required at time of hire): High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of customer service/office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
