What Youll Do
- Provide strongLeadership Management and Accountability (LMA)to your team fostering a culture of ownership collaboration and growth.
- Supervise and support AES team members in delivering safe fun and informative animal experiences.
- Oversee daily scheduling training assignments and performance feedback to ensure guest satisfaction and team development.
- Take the lead in shaping and executing training plans for a wide variety of animals including macaws sloths otters penguins reptiles and more.
- Collaborate with other Care Team supervisors to align ambassador animal training with park-wide standards and practices.
- Monitor program quality guest engagement and animal welfare across all AES programs.
- Serve as the point person for AES issues including animal assignments team communication and guest interactions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and professionalism in all AES spaces.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 3 years paid experience in the zoological field
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of operant conditioning and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Outstanding public speaking and guest engagement skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions on weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. stand or walk for long periods and move safely around animals.
