Job Description
Superintendent - West Palm Beach FL
Continental Heavy Civil Corp is looking for a Superintendent in the West Palm Beach area. Applicants should be extremely detail-oriented organized and self-motivated and have the ability to find solutions to both routine and complex construction problems while continuing to ensure the project is moving forward.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of the field and job-site construction to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with design budget and schedule.
- Responsible for assessing labor/management needs specific to the project and reporting to the Project Manager accordingly.
- Provide technical assistance recommending construction methods and equipment as required suggesting alternatives to mitigate delays and interface issues during design changes and ongoing construction.
- First Line of Communication between the Project Manager and Foremen.
- Ensure all onsite personnel complies and follows safety procedures.
- Responsible for completing daily reports.
Qualifications:
- Earthwork experience beach re-nourishment projects preferable.
- Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
- Knowledge of federal state and local laws on safety and environment and their application to construction.
- Excellent communication organizational skills and supervisory skills.
- Preferable experience with Federal Government including USACE.
